Last night CBIHP lost an elder. Jessie May Coulter was one of CBIHP's first members. She was also our eldest member and has a CBIHP volunteer award named after her for all her hard work and dedication. Without Jessie's knowledge, guidance, love and support CBIHP would not have been able to accomplish what we have. Her no nonsense wisdom and straight to the point approach will be missed. Jessie May inspired us to keep trying when everyone else thought it couldn't be done. Her can do attitude pushed CBIHP to become the Cherokee Community & Cultural Outreach non-profit of the year. To honor Jessie's memory CBIHP will continue the fight to preserve the Native American narrative. Jessie May Coulter will be missed.
I love you Granny, Ty Wilson - CBIHP President
